About Us

Senior Pastor Dennit Goodwin is a native Washingtonian.  In 1994, he and his family relocated to the St. Mary’s County community.  He is a gifted visionary and leader and has used these talents to inspire and motivate others during his years of service to the Lord.  Dennit was ordained Pastor of the Church Without Walls Outreach Ministries in October 2011 and called to the office of Evangelist in 1980. He headed the Evangelistic Outreach Ministry at Rhema Christian Center, in Washington, DC for 32 years.  Just prior to his call to ministry the Lord gave Dennit a vision.  In accordance with Ezekiel 47:1-9 Dennit saw himself standing in the waters of a great river.  At first the waters were shallow, but the depths gradually increased until he was completed submersed.  As Dennit floated through the waters he saw trees with deep roots growing along the river banks.  Each tree was filled with fruit that had faces of multitudes of people.  The Lord explained to Dennit that the faces represented the fruit of the harvest – the faces of unsaved people who would come into the Kingdom once they heard the Gospel.

Under Dennit’s direction the evangelistic outreach ministry spearheaded numerous soul-saving activities including taking the Gospel from door to door in the District of Columbia, and nearby Maryland and Virginia, hosting tent ministries in inner city communities, and holding prayer vigils for the students, teachers, and administrators of the schools of the city.  The Gospel was also taken to the streets during night witnessing when ministry members wore white helmets, representing salvation, and shared the love of God with prostitutes, drug addicts, and same sex couples.

Dennit co-founded the Church Without Walls Outreach Ministries along with his wife, Pastor Mary Goodwin, in St. Mary’s County, Maryland in October 2011.  The Church Without Walls Outreach Ministries is dedicated to helping to meet the needs of residents of the Southern Maryland community who are struggling to survive spiritually, socially, and economically.

Pastor Mary Goodwin was born and raised in the Southern Maryland community.   She attended Charles County Public Schools and moved to Washington, DC following graduation and college enrollment.  In 1994, Mary and her family relocated to the Southern Maryland community.  Mary is a graduate of the University of Maryland University College and Liberty University.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in counseling.

Mary has been serving the Lord for many years.  She was ordained Pastor of Church Without Walls Outreach Ministries in October 2011 and called to the office of Evangelist in 1994. During her years of service as Evangelist, Mary co-led the Evangelistic Outreach Ministry at Rhema Christian Center Church in Washington, DC, along with her husband, Pastor Dennit Goodwin.  Under their leadership the members of the outreach ministry spread the Gospel through the streets of Washington, DC, nearby Maryland, and Virginia, conducted clothing drives, and held bible studies at correctional facilities and nursing homes.  Prayer vigils were also sponsored on behalf of the troops, national leaders, communities traumatized by crime, and students, teachers, and administrators of the District of Columbia public schools.  As a result of a prayer vigil held on Capitol Hill on behalf of DC schools, Rhema Christian Center Church and the outreach ministry were honored in a resolution presented on the Senate floor.
